After a tropical storm or hurricane
High wind and flying debris do things to a rooftop array that you cannot see from the driveway: a panel shifted on its rail, a cracked corner, palm fronds and roofing debris packed under the modules, or a section that is simply dirtier than the rest. A post-storm visual inspection gives you photographs of every panel and the space underneath, dated, so you have a record for your solar contractor or your insurer before anyone else is on the roof.
If we find storm debris, we remove what we can reach and clean the glass. If we see damage, we photograph it, tell you plainly, and refer you to a licensed solar or roofing contractor. We do not touch wiring or hardware.
Monitoring-app review
Part of every inspection: we open your monitoring app with you (Enphase, SolarEdge, SMA, Tesla, or whichever app your system uses) and note any panels or strings that look low in the written report, so you know what to ask your installer about. We read the app and note what we see; we do not diagnose.
Production down? It is often just dirt
A pollen film in April, Saharan dust in July, or salt haze on a coastal roof can pull output down without looking dramatic. The cheapest first step is a cleaning with photos and a before-and-after look at the monitoring app. If the numbers do not come back after the glass is clean, you have a photographed record to hand to your installer.
